Doesn’t it seem strange that we slap on a bunch of potions and lotions to our skin all in the hopes of turning back the hands of time and delaying the inevitable signs of aging?
Since I’ve started the Paleo / minimal processed foods diet I’ve found that our bodies are pretty good at figuring out what to do and how to fix itself as long as we step out of the way and stop messing shit up.
By this I mean no processed flour foods or sugars that mess up our natural signalling and hormones and eating mindfully rather than stuffing our faces in front of the computer or television.

My new year’s resolution for 2013 is to purify and simplify what I do to the outside of my body the same way I’ve simplified my diet.
For 2 months I will switch to washing only once a day with water and I will stop using harsh soaps on my body. The peeps over at paleohacks.com have plenty to say about washing soap and (sham)poo free.
Over the past 4 years I’ve experimented with olive oil as a makeup remover instead of my old expensive Lancome cleanser and it’s already had an amazing effect on my face. My skin is so soft now and I’ve saved so much money on stupid cleansers and foams that I even bought a pair of cute $800+ kitty face heels
This may be the magic cure to my never ending acne! Imagine if the cure really was to do nothing at all rather than $1000s of dollars in expensive creams and cleansers. If so, I would feel like such a fool for all the time and $$$ I’ve wasted down the drain…
